Significant Surfaces

When I started Significant Surfaces, I was going to marry in a few months, which meant to start a family of my own. This made me reflect on unsolved family issues I avoided to revisit.

Looking for closure, I reflected on how my home was immersed in both fear and love, without clear distinction between them. The connections were fragile, things were crumbling. But we still accepted it as home, we were still a family.

Our bodies tell stories. Visible and invisible scars, bruises and scratches mark us. Each sign is a physical manifestation of the inside, a proof that time has passed and we have lived. A body that remain spotless is empty of memory and life.
